Ynysybwl second team faced Bargoed at Rhydyfelin RFC on Tuesday 21 April in the final of the Keith Jones Cup competition.
The Bwl faced a strong Bargoed outfit and found themselves trailing 19 - 0 at half time. The last score of the half was particularly frustrating for the Bwl as it came in the ,fifth minute of added time and the conversion signalled the end of the half.
If the Bwl were to get back into the game they needed to score quickly and a try came soon after the restart courtesy of Kyle Jacob, who converted his own touch-down.
But this was to prove the Bwl's only score of the evening as Bargoed ran out 25 - 7 winners.
